Jeff Brohm and Louisville football will look to carry their momentum over from their dominant Week 1 win over Eastern Kentucky into the Week 2 clash with James Madison. The Cardinals have high expectations for the 2025 season, and a game that many have had their eye on is this scary trap game this evening.

The Dukes are a sneaky program that has shown in recent years it can shock college football fans and pull off some big-time wins. Head coach Bob Chesney will arrive at L&N Stadium with a chip on his shoulder after a dominant 45-10 victory over Weber State, but in Week 2, he will have a much bigger challenge ahead of him and his team.

Miller Moss and this offense had just one half to show what the ceiling is for this team, and they certainly did not disappoint. Isaac Brown and Caullin Lacy are poised to be a massive problem for the ACC, as they were the stars of the week. Now, they turn to the Dukes, and Louisville fans are hopeful they will avoid the upset, but let's take a deep dive into some odds, predictions, and more.

Final Staff Predictions:

The Cardinals will win this game, and they will do it dominantly. While the Dukes have a solid football team this year, and have shown in the past they can be a team that spoils programs' dreams, that won't be the case tonight. Louisville's physicality and speed will be too much for James Madison, and the Cards will win by double digits.

It would be nice to see the starters play a complete game, as this one shouldn't be a 40-point blowout in the first half. However, expect the Cardinals to be up by double digits in the first half and dominate the middle eight. The Dukes' secondary will struggle to guard Chris Bell and Lacy on the outside, and Brown should pick up right where he left off in Week 1.

This will be a good Week 2 test for Moss and the defense, but at the end of the game, Louisville should enter Week 3 2-0 and feel confident in where they are as a team.
