Louisville football fans get a massive update from one of the Cardinals' hidden gems in the 2026 recruiting class, Julius Miles. The 3-star tight end from Freeport High School has had a massive start to his senior season, causing his ranking to skyrocket and proving he was a big-time grab by Jeff Brohm.
The Cardinals saw their 4-star quarterback Briggs Cherry's rankings soar after his Elite 11 Finals performance, and now Miles didn't just improve his rankings and status, but he is now the Cardinals' top commitment in the 2026 recruiting class, according to Rivals.

Miles committed to Brohm and his Cardinals back in July 2025 and was ranked at the time as the No. 22 tight end and the No. 548 recruit in the nation. The Cardinals earned the tight end's commitment over ACC giants like Clemson and Florida State, as well as Arkansas and Michigan State.
Well, Brohm's hidden gem at the time now is one of the best tight ends in the 2026 recruiting as the 6-foot-6, 210-pound tight end saw his recruiting rankings soar to the No. 180 recruit in the nation and the No. 10 tight end in the 2026 class.
Louisville's 2026 tight end is proving to be a dominant force on the football field and is now a name all Cardinals fans know and are excited to see in the red and black uniforms next season. Last year, he logged 59 receptions for 895 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, and this year, he is off to an incredibly hot start.
Miles isn't just dominating the field early on his senior season, but he is having a historic start. He has 676 receiving yards and 11 total touchdowns through just four games, which makes him average 169 yards per game this senior season.
Louisville fans cannot wait to watch Miles next season, as this senior year, he is making his name known to the Cardinals fans as someone who can make an immediate impact in his freshman season. The Cardinals' tight end room is one of Louisville's thinner rooms, and with the hype around Miles' name now, it would not be shocking if he is a freshman who stands out and earns some valuable reps in 2026.
