The 2025-26 regular season officially concluded, and the Louisville Cardinals will travel to Charlotte to play in the ACC Tournament. The Cards earned the No. 6 seed in the conference tourney and will play the winner of SMU and Syracuse on Wednesday, March 11.

Predicting the 2026 ACC Tournament results for Louisville basketball

Louisville basketball finished the regular season 22-9 and their conference play 11-7. It wasn’t the season many had hoped for as the Cardinals were once ranked No. 6 in the nation and had the sixth-highest odds to win the National Title, but Cards fans are feeling much better after earning their first road win over a ranked team since 2020.

The odds for the ACC Tournament were recently released, and while many expected Duke to be the favorite, the Blue Devils' odds send a loud message, as the Cardinals' odds are stacked high against Louisville basketball winning the ACC Tournament.

Vegas sends loud message about Louisville’s ACC Tournament chances

It certainly feels like many are confident about Louisville basketball's path to the conference tourney finals. The biggest strength is that Louisville would avoid Duke until the finals, and they would play Miami in the quarterfinals and possibly Virginia in the semifinals. With this path, FanDuel now gives Louisville the third-best odds to win the ACC Tournament, at +1300, while Duke is -330.

So, the Vegas oddsmakers are giving Louisville some love and respect by giving them the third-best odds to win the program's first ACC Tournament Title, but the Blue Devils are dominant favorites. Virginia comes in between the Cards and the Blue Devils at +700.

The Cardinals punched their ticket to the ACC Tournament Championship game last year, where they lost to Duke 73-62. The two teams have already played each other twice this season, with the Cardinals keeping it close in the first game: they were up at halftime but lost by 11, and in the second game, it was the ugly 31-point loss.

If Louisville and Duke meet again in the championship game, Mikel Brown Jr. hopefully is playing and healthy, as the last update the Cards fans have received is that the 5-star freshman is day-to-day. The Cardinals' postseason run will begin Wednesday, March 11, and if Louisville wants any chance to make history and win its first ACC Tournament Title, Brown’s health will be a major factor.

Vegas isn’t high on anyone to win the ACC other than Duke, but if Louisville can get hot, who knows? It is March. Anything is possible.
