Louisville football has had a rollercoaster summer so far with recruiting, as the Cardinals have lost a couple of elite 4-star recruits in June. Louisville recently learned that Josiah Hope and Kevontay Hugan have decommitted from the University and are exploring other options.
These two 4-star recruits were among the Cardinals' top commitments, resulting in two massive losses. However, Louisville also learned in June that they had stolen Kentucky's top recruiter, Vince Marrow, as their new Executive Director of Player Personnel and Recruiting, making it clear that this program will be more than okay moving forward.
Well, some more good news is coming Louisville fans' way, as Brohm has just received another commitment, making it clear that the Cardinals' visits from this weekend are trending in the right direction.

Vince Marrow effect in full swing as Louisville rips top recruit from Kentucky
Louisville football receives more excellent news after four recruits visited the Cardinals over the weekend, with the newest commit to Louisville being offensive lineman Benjamin Corhei.
The glorious silver lining that comes with this commitment is that it is clear the Vince Marrow effect is already in full swing. Rivals Fan Future Cast forecasted Kentucky with a 100 percent chance of landing this elite 3-star recruit, and On3 Sports also gave Kentucky a dominant 42.9 percent chance, with USF as the next closest team with a 16.5 percent chance.
Since Marrow came to Louisville, the Cardinals have gone from landing less than 1 percent of 6-foot-5, 270-pound linemen to earning an official visit and securing a verbal commitment on Sunday.
Kentucky was one of the first schools to make an offer to Corhei, as the Wildcats made their offer in May 2024. Kentucky was the first Power Four program to make an offer, and all signs pointed to Corhei being a Wildcat. However, after the news of Marrow joining Louisville, Corhei gutted the Wildcats and committed to the Louisville Cardinals.

Kentucky is supposed to have their official visit with the now Louisville commit today, June 16, but with Corhei making his commitment just yesterday, it is safe to say their visit is spoiled. The Cardinals were able to earn Corhei's commitment over some big-time programs as he earned over 27 offers.
Other big-time programs that extended an offer to Corhei were Arkansas, Florida State, Indiana, Miami, Pittsburgh, Tulane, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and many more.
Corhei is a significant addition to Louisville's 2026 class, as he is ranked as high as No. 949 in the nation and the No. 55 offensive lineman in the 2026 cycle, according to 247 Sports. He already helps boost this elite class, as the Cardinals' 17 commitments are ranked No. 23 in the nation.
