Louisville football is having an impressive 2027 recruiting class so far, as Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow are ranked in the top 20. The Cardinals have never had a class ranked in the top 20 after official signing day, and if the Cards want to make history, they will have to avoid losing a few commitments.

Louisville football 4-star commit suddenly on flip watch after major visits set

A couple of Louisville commitments recently went on flip watch as 3-star commit Munir Lewis reportedly admitted he is listening to Ohio State, and 4-star commit Chuck Alexander scheduled official visits with a couple of other programs. However, Brohm and Morrow will have a huge chance to limit some flip rumors this weekend with Alexander, as the 4-star is on campus for Louisville’s massive recruiting visit weekend.

The Cardinals are hosting Alexander along with multiple other 2027 commitments this weekend, including Sebastian Blue, Ja’Hyde Brown, Allen Evans, and many other commits and recruits. Alexander is one of the bigger names on campus this weekend, as not only is he one of the higher-rated recruits on campus, but Brohm and Marrow will try to do the best they can to avoid losing the 4-star.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Alexander had scheduled a few visits: Louisville this weekend, Wisconsin on June 12, and South Carolina on June 19. It was also reported that Michigan is in the mix, as the Wolverines are potentially working out a visit date.

So, with Brohm and Marrow trying to avoid losing one of their top-rated recruits, the Cards will have the opportunity this weekend to try to limit any flip rumors and to keep Alexander a Cardinal before he makes these other visits. Wisconsin has already swiped one of Louisville’s 4-star commitments, as quarterback Jack Sorgi committed to Louisville in June 2025, but the 4-star QB decided to decommit from Louisville and commit to where his father played football.

Now, it appears the Badgers are attempting to steal another 4-star from Louisville, and this time, a wide receiver to play with Sorgi. Alexander ranks No. 378 overall in the 2027 recruiting class, No. 49 among wide receivers, and No. 14 out of Ohio.
