The Lousiville Cardinals athletic programs keep on rising. The Cardinals are soaring to the top in multiple sports, as men's and women's basketball are projected to make the NCAA Tournament, and baseball is on a six-game win streak.
It is hard to follow all these sports, so we plan to break it all down for you. Here is a brief recap of all the major sports so far this week.
Louisville baseball keeps on winning
Louisville baseball secured its sixth straight win and 13th win of the season. The Cardinals improve to 13-2 on the year and 11-1 at home.
Dan McDonnell and his squad secured a sweep over UIC this past weekend, where the Cardinals dominated. Louisville outscored UIC 28-7 in the three-game series. Louisville then secured a 13-0 win over Lipscomb last night. The Cardinals' freshman, Tague Davis, has stepped up tremendously. He leads the team with six home runs while batting an impressive .425.
The Cardinals will have the back half of their back-to-back today, as Louisville will host Oakland. Louisville will then begin its ACC play and host North Carolina in a three-game series starting March 14.
Louisville basketball postseason preview
Louisville men's basketball is set to begin its postseason tomorrow night against the winner of today's matchup between No. 7 Stanford and No. 15 Cal.
The Cardinals beat both teams and will tip off around 7:00 p.m. local time. In recent news, Pat Kelsey secured the ACC Coach of the Year, while Terrence Edwards Jr. and Chucky Hepburn secured spots on the All-ACC rosters. Hepburn won Defensive Player of the Year for the ACC and secured a place on the First-Team All-ACC. Edwards earned a spot on the All-ACC Third Team.
Louisville fans are still waiting for news on sharpshooter Reyne Smith and to know if he is available. The Cardinals will look to secure their first ACC Tournament title. The Cardinals have already broken multiple records this season, but this record is one that all the fans want.
Louisville basketball has struggled in the past in the ACC Tournament. The Cardinals are 0-2 when they secure a double bye and are 3-8 in the ACC Tournament since joining back in 2014.

Louisville football update
Jeff Brohm and his staff are all hands on deck for recruiting right now. The Cardinals are landing multiple stars in the class of 2026 and continue to hear great news.
Louisville football landed four recruits this past week and discovered they are in Larry Miles's top 10 schools. Miles is a 4-star wide receiver recruit. The Cardinals are currently ranked No. 29 in the country and No. 4 in the ACC for their 10 commitments in the class of 2026, per On3 . Louisville football secured two top-five recruits from Kentucky.
