Louisville basketball's 2025-26 roster is close but not yet finished. The Cardinals have had one of the best offseasons in the nation, as 247Sports ranked them as high as No. 3.

Louisville fans are keeping a close eye on two top targets remaining in the transfer portal, Jamir Watkins and Baba Miller. Pat Kelsey and the Cardinals learned yesterday that the 4-star Kentucky native will transfer from the Kentucky Wildcats to the SEC and the Ole Miss Rebels.

Louisville is looking to finalize its roster as soon as possible, as the team will return to start summer practice next month. Kelsey will look to make one last push in the portal and complete this National championship-contender roster.

Most experts rank Louisville in the top 10 for its way-too-early rankings. However, ESPN's bracketologist Joe Lunardi's way-too-early 2026 NCAA Tournament prediction absolutely poured cold water on Louisville basketball's National Title hype train. The expert predicted the Cards to finish as a 5-seed despite having the sixth-best odds to win the 2026 National Championship, per FanDuel.

Chucky Hepburn's NBA dream stays alive

According to Michael Scotto, the Cardinals' star from last season received excellent news as he was invited to the 2025 NBA G League Elite Camp.

Hepburn missed out on the 2025 NBA Draft Combine, as the combine is invite-only, and only 75 players were invited. Many thought that the ACC Defensive Player of the Year deserved an invitation to the Combine, but unfortunately, he was not invited to this event.

He will now showcase his skills at the NBA G League Elite Camp in front of NBA scouts, coaches, and GMs. Hepburn will try to capitalize on this event, improve his draft stock, and keep his NBA dreams alive.

Louisville football adds elite 4-star TE

Jeff Brohm and his staff keep improving their roster for not only this upcoming season but also the future. Louisville football added a former 4-star tight end out of high school, Davon Mitchell, a transfer from Oklahoma.

Mitchell is ranked as high as the 15th best tight end in the transfer portal, and was one of the best tight ends back in the class of 2024. The future Cardinal was Under Armour All-American as he received offers from National Championship contenders like Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas and many others.

The Oklahoma transfer visited the Cardinals last week and will now join a tight end room that was once considered thin but now has a solid five-man rotation.
