Isaac McKneely teases elite 3-point shooting for Louisville basketball

Pat Kelsey whiffs on 4-star SF Chris Washington Jr.

Louisville basketball found out earlier this week that it will no longer be in the running for 4-star Chris Washington Jr. The small forward is regarded as a consensus 4-star recruit and is ranked as high as the No. 26 prospect in the 2026 class and the No. 1 recruit out of Tennessee.

Louisville extended an offer to Washington in January 2025, but it appears that they being all-in has made them lose out on Washington, as he cut his list down to Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss, Cincinnati, Villanova, and Florida A&M.

Louisville football has a gauntlet of a schedule this year, as Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals will face Miami, Clemson, and SMU. On top of that, they have to play Boston College and Virginia Tech, which appear to be big-time trap games for Brohm.

However, it is also worth noting that Brohm won't have a bye week in the second half of his schedule. The Cardinals' two byes are in the first seven weeks of the Cardinals' 2025 schedule, making it even more challenging. Brohm revealed his blueprint for tackling this challenge, stating that the biggest task for the coaching staff will be adapting and making adjustments.
