Louisville football commitment Ja’Hyde Brown has been turning heads nationwide his senior season, and he just did it again with another dominant performance. Brown originally committed to Indiana, but decommitted from Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers, ultimately flipping his commitment to his hometown school, the Louisville Cardinals.
Now, after an eye-popping offseason, he is the Cardinals' top-ranked commitment in the 2027 recruiting class, and he is showing why through his first three games with Christian Academy of Louisville. Friday night, CAL and Brown took on Lexington Christian Academy, and the Louisville commit was the star of the show yet again.
Ja'Hyde Brown just had another dominant game
CAL defeated LCA by a dominant score of 66-21. Christian Academy of Louisville now improves to 3-0 this year and has outscored its three opponents 159-21.
A big reason for this dominant three-game stretch for CAL is the Louisville commit, Ja’Hyde Brown. The 4-star wide receiver has earned at least five catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns in all three games, including last night, when Brown finished with six catches for 143 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

This is the second time this year that Brown went over 100 yards, as the Cardinals' commitment finished the first game with video-game numbers of 11 catches for 180 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Brown is one of the biggest rising players in the 2027 recruiting class, and he is making a case to rise even further. This offseason, he won the MVP award at The Opening, surging him up Rivals rankings from No. 252 in the nation, all the way up to No. 66 overall, No. 11 among wide receivers, and MaxPreps ranked him as the best recruit from Kentucky.
Now, after three weeks in his senior year, the 4-star wide receiver is making a case to potentially rise even further and maybe even become a 5-star by the time he signs. He has logged 415 yards and nine touchdowns in just three games, and Brown is quickly emerging as a name everyone knows nationwide.
This is an incredible start to his senior season, and if he can keep putting up numbers like this, it is only a matter of time before he rises in the rankings again.
