Ja'Hyde Brown makes history with 31 receiving touchdowns
Brown has been unstoppable all season, as the 4-star transfer has surged up the national rankings and been nothing but dominant for Christian Academy of Louisville. Entering Friday night’s game, the Louisville native had 28 receiving touchdowns and needed just two to tie and three to break the state’s record.
Brown did just that on a quick slant, catching three touchdowns Friday, including the record-breaking one, when he ran a slant and hit a dirty spin move to walk into the end zone.

Brown has been on an absolute tear since this offseason, surging in the rankings and becoming one of the nation’s biggest rising stars since he committed to Jeff Brohm and Louisville. He originally committed to Indiana, but flipped his commitment to the Cardinals to stay home and play where he grew up.
He then rose in the Rivals rankings after winning MVP at a camp this offseason, jumping from No. 252 overall and No. 49 among wide receivers to No. 66 overall and No. 11 among wide receivers. Now, after his historic season, the 4-star receiver is committed to Louisville as the No. 32 overall recruit in the nation and No. 5 among wide receivers.
Brown is eyeing a 5-star commitment to Louisville, and etching his name in the state’s history books makes a strong case. Now he enters the playoffs and eyes the national record, as three players currently hold the national record with 39 receiving touchdowns.
