It is a busy week for Louisville sports. The Cardinals are getting massive updates on the transfer portal, football is getting crushing updates, and baseball has had a major collapse in its last four games.

Louisville football recruiting update

The Cardinals lost a key recruit Monday morning. Joel Ervin decommitted from Louisville after his visit with ACC rival Miami Hurricanes. The 3-star offensive lineman verbally committed 18 days ago, but it was a bit of a shock as the Cardinals were given under a 10 percent chance to land Ervin per On3.

Louisville football will also tune in this afternoon as a crucial 4-star running back out of Oklahoma is set to announce his commitment. The Cardinals received a crushing update yesterday as On3 projects Kaydin Jones to pick the in-state program at Oklahoma State. The Cardinals are one of the finalists to land Jones, but it will come down to either Oklahoma State or the Oklahoma Sooners.

Jones will make his official announcement this afternoon at 5 p.m. local time.

Louisville baseball's epic collapse

The Cardinals were coming off a hot stretch after beating the No. 6 North Carolina Tar Heels in a massive three-game series. Louisville took two of three, but it all went downhill after that series. The Cardinals would go on to win 11-1 against Northern Kentucky, but since then, they have lost three of their last four games.

Louisville is now 18-6 in the year after their disappointing series against Virginia Tech and their 12-2 loss against the Cincinnati Bearcats last night. The Cardinals opened the season 1-3 on the road and will look to get back on the right track this Friday against Cal.

Cal and Louisville will play a four-game series in the Cardinals' home stadium before Louisville hits the road again to play Indiana on April 1.
